My name is David Coyte, grandson of Lester Coyte and Helen C. Mehrhof and Charles Edward Lowe and Mary Emma Mershon. It is my hope that the kin of these four people can share information on the geneology of these people.

Here is some of the information I have:

COYTE: Joseph Coyte, Sr., b. 1788 in Devon, England, d. 1847 in New Jersey, m. Elizabeth Lee and fathered four sons, Joseph, Jr., b. 1812; Benjamin (my 2nd great grandfather) b. 1815; William, b. 1823; and George Mustin, b. 1831. Benjamin married Caroline Hall (and there is a great love story about this and I will add it as soon as time permits)and sired Benjamin, Jr. who inturn sired Lester E. Coyte (my grandfather) b. 1872 who married Helen M. Mehrhof (and later married her sister, Hester) b. 1871.

Mehrhof: Helen M. Mehrhof married my grandfather Lester E. Coyte. She died in 1916 and later her sister Hester Anna (some question about the middle name) married Lester Coyte. I have recently discovered information about the brothers, sisters, and father of Helen and Hester. I also have records of a total of six different cemetary plots owned by the Mehrhof's. many of the graves have not been used.

Lowe: George Wesley Lowe, b. 1-14-1836, was a government official of Ridgefield Park, NJ. He fathered at least three sons: Fred C., Frank C. and Charles Edward (my grandfather). Charles married Mary Emma Mershon, b. 1869.

Mershon: There is an organization called "The Association of the Descendants of Henry Mershon, Inc.". Henry Mershon, b.1673, is the son of Henri Marchand and the forth great grandfather of Mary Emma Mershon, b. 1869, my grandmother.

If you have information about any of these families or need information about any of them, e-mail me. My tree is at almost 200 names and growing fast. I will be happy to share or trade information with any family member.
