| Welcome to the Sather and Ferguson Family Home Page. I am just beginning to compile details on my family. Specifically, the ancestry of my grandparents: DOROTHY "LENORE" FERGUSON SATHER, AND THEODORE MILTON SATHER. The Ferguson's came to the Cleveland Ohio area in the late mid to late 1800's, from Port Dalhousie Twp, Lanark County in Ontario Canada. At this point, I have found John Ferguson, married to Mary Duffin in Ontario, and his son , William Ferguson, married to Mary Duval. William was a Captain of a Great Lake steamer called the SS Joe Morrow,(not Joseph!}, sailing the lakes for over 50 yrs. He died in Cleveland in 1941, his wife passing the following day. The information on the Sather's is sparse. Theodore Milton was born in Cleveland to Theodore L. Sather of Oslo, Norway who was married to Minnie Hansen, of Norway. Theodore L. died in Cleveland in 1910. I know of one other Sather; Anton, who is buried in Cleveland. I am researching the following related surnames: FERGUSON, SATHER, REYNOLDS, DUFFIN, DUVAL, KNIPPER, BROA, SATHER, HANSEN, CHRISTENSEN, AND COYLE.
