Marriage Notes for Henry Sayers and Rosamond/Rosanna Laura Dainard: 1) Muskegon County, Michigan Marriage Records, Vol. 5, pg. 71, record #6193. This is an interesting piece of information. Henry Sayers and Rosanna Daynard were already married and had had several children. Yet they purchased a marriage license in Muskegon County; however, there is no information indicating this marriage took place. There are no witnesses' names; no name of an officiant; and no marriage date. Henry has two previous marriages listed; Rosanna has one. Henry's residence is listed as White River Twp. (this is in Muskegon County); Rosanna's residence is in Traverse City, Michigan, which is in Grand Traverse County, approximately 100 miles north of Muskegon County. It is my assumption that Henry and Rosanna divorced and Henry married someone else. That second marriage ended in divorce (most likely) or perhaps his second wife died. Henry and Rosanna made plans to remarry; and then didn't follow through. Did Rosanna back out? Hmmm....interesting!
