| Researching John Crawford b. around 1790 in VA. His son, John Leston Crawford b. August 10, 1820 in VA m. Mary Ann RICE June 04, 1847 in Columbus, Franklin Co. OH. Mary Ann was b. October 11, 1828 OH. May have lived in Madison Twsp, Delaware Co. OH. (1850 OH census) They moved to Adair Co. MO in 1856 with sons: Daniel H., b. 1850 William Mason., b. 1854. They farmed near Gibbs, MO. where their other children were: Sarah Matilda b. 1858 Susan Clarinda b. 1860 John Leston b. 1864 George Ezekial b. 1868 Otto Erastus b. 1871. There have since been five generations of John LESTON CRAWFORD'S! We have no origins-information on the name LESTON. Also researching Mary Ann Rice's family, including Erastus, Lucinda, George, and John L. who were all b. Luzerne Co. PA. They may have stayed for a period of time in Ohio, perhaps in Delaware or Richland Counties. George and John preceeded Mary to Adair County MO probably around 1840. |
