- The Days Gone By
The days gone by will not be lost.
For they are held deep in my soul.
I remember the cold winter frost.
Then giant icicles on the electric poles.
The smell of Mom's fresh baked bread
The taste of the butter, as it melts on the warm bread
Memories fo my childhood and the happy times we share
Like popping pop corn on the old coal stove
Then sitting on the floor around the radio to hear a show
Sometimes, we'd put puzzles together
Or play checkers with Mom and Dad.
Other times we would make homemade ice cream.
Mom would make us a delicious cake.
It's nice to remember those days gone by.
And Be thankful They didn't make us cry.

I've posted the photos you've sent. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!
Many memories came flooding back as I worked the images. I recall Uncle (always called him and her Uncle and Aunt) Ward as he fascinated us with his stick men dancing on a sort of paddle. He made things out of wood. Mom got his moon with the stairs and stars. He also introduced me to music by playing the hand saw like a violin. So many memories - wonderful memories. I'll identify each photo with the data you sent when I get a chance.
