10. Linda Roy - LDRoy516@aol.com, I looked up the marriage dates again to be sure and Grundy County Archives has the date of marriage as April 22, 1854. I also looked up the 1850 Census to see how old Malinda was when she married Jonathan (they list him as John Crabtree) in Volume III No.1 1998, page 10 of the Grundy Co. Historical Society Pathfinder and the same date of marriage is listed there. Also they have Malinda as 13 years old at the time. But, in 1860 they have John listed as 23 years old and Malinda as 22 and their child Saline as age 5. This does not make since since she is 1 year younger than John here. So she would have been born in 1836 if that holds true. I understand the Census takers may have entered information in the 1850 census but didn't reach the people until a year later or two. So the dates are confusing. Malinda's father was Samuel Tucker, 41, farmer and her mother was Jane, 35 when Malinda was 13. I will have to put all the information in my Family Tree Maker but haven't had a chance yet.
