I am researching the Bernard Cremering Family from Hanover Germany. We know Bernard was born about 1825 and was married to Anna Heskamp on October 10, 1854. After immigrating to the United States through the Port of New Orleans on March 25, 1852 they settled in Cincinnati Ohio and began raising their family. They had six children, Elizabeth, Joannes, John, Bernard Sr., Henry Conrad Rudolph and Gerardum Herman. Additional information has been very difficult to find on both Bernard and Anna.
The biggest mystery is with Lawrence Cremering who enlisted in the Union Army at age 34 on 12 December 1861. He was wounded in the battle of Shilo. I don't know if Lawrence is Bernard's middle name, but if so, this would place him correctly in the listed date range we have for him. Any information would be appreciated, I am also willing to share the information that I have.
