      3. Jesse2 Rigney (Charles1) was born Abt. 1765, and died Abt. 1830 in Greensburg, Green, Kentucky. He married (1) Elizabeth Linthicum November 04, 1795 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, daughter of Thomas Linthicum. He married (2) Elizabeth Stringer October 22, 1816 in Liberty, Case, Kentucky.

This indenture made the fifteenth day October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four, Between-John Hutchinson of the County of Pittsylvania of the one part and Jesse Rigney of the same County of the other part witnessith thee said John Hutchinson for an Inconsideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty nine Dollars to him in hand paid to the said John Hutchinson the receipts of which he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted Bargained and sold unto the said John Huthinson his heirs and assigns forever one certain track or part of land lying and being in the County of Pennsylvania on the fork of the Cherry Stone containing fifty acres of the same more or less and bounded as follows: Beginning at a post oak in Rigney line thence along a new line N55 East 60 poles to a maple on the W bank of the S fork thence down the said creek as it meanders 118 poles to a sycamore. Near the South creek thence division line S30 N46 Poles to the mouth of the ranch up the south branch as it meanders S30 poles to a poplar in Rigney's old line aforesaid and along the same N15 W150 poles crossing a branch to the Beginning together with all houses woods or orchards water and water courses and all the appurtenance their unto belonging as in any other appertaining therewith to have and to hold this aforementioned fifty acres of land with the appurtenances their unto belonging unto the said John Hutchinson. To him and his heirs forever the only proper uses. And behoove of him the said John Hutchinson his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jesse Rigney for himself his heirs the above mentioned land and promises in every part are parcel thereof warrants and will forever the fifty acres of land to be free and clear from all encumbrances what so ever unto the said John Hutchinson and his heirs forever. In witness whereof I here unto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of October 1804. ~
