Abstract of Last Will and Testament:

I Cager Creel, being in low state of health but perfect mind and memory will and dispose of in the following manner. First after all my just debts are paid, I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Milly all my household and kitchen furniture with four cows and one horse to be worth one hundred dollars, one Negro girl named Lender, and five hundred dollars in money to be by her freely possessed and enjoyed during her life and then returned to my lawful heirs. I also desire that my wife should keep possession of my dwelling house and kitchen twelve months after the sale of my estate. My estate is to be sold on twelve months credit at a suitable time of year so as to not interfere with a growing crop and further my wife and family is to have a sufficient quantity of any crop on hand and other necessaries for that maintenance one year and if my wife should choose to build on any land she may purchase or otherwise wish to settle on my executors is directed to furnish her with as much money as will be sufficient to build her a comfortable house to live in. Second my estate, except what was above mentioned, to be sold and the money put out to the best advantage for the benefit of my beloved children or lawful heirs and if the interest or income is not sufficient for education and support with decent clothing then the principle is to be resorted to. If they live to the age of twenty one or otherwise alter their situation in life which is natural or common then in such case my executor is directed to impart to such of them their full and due proportion of said estate. Thirdly it is my desire my Negro man Herrod and Hannah his wife and their children should be sold together and not separate at my disposal. My trusty friend William Burbridge and Simeon Creel my Executors to this my last will and Testament with power to make Convey to my lands when sold and other estate.
