Crossland Family Home Page

I am currently researching the CROSSLAND family from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The first official reference i have found about Meredith Taylor Crossland appears in a deed book in 1832; however, I believe his first child was born in Northport, AL in September of 1826. M.T. was married twice- first to Lucinda Cleveland who died on June 4, 1849, and then to Naomi Cadell. M.T. was born on June 4, 1805, in Cocke County, TN. I have been unable to confirm this information through official records, but I obtained this date and location from his tombstone. From a copy of a LDS family archive record obtained by a family member in 1969, I am comfortable in saying that M.T.'s parents were Samuel and Annie (Johnson) Crossland. I have been unable to find any other information pertaining to this branch of the Crossland family prior to this. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
