About Our Family Research

In 1925, Claude Edward Crockett of Kansas City, Missouri married Myrtle Edith Morris of Little Rock, Arkansas in Los Angeles, California. Born of this union were Jack Edward Crockett and Robert Francis Crockett. Shortly before the start of WWII, the family moved to the small Oregon lumber town of Myrtle Creek.

Also in 1926, Charles Maris of Colorado married Ruth Henrietta Sherman of Michigan. Of this union were born Ada Lousie, Marilyn, Jerald and Sandra. In the early 1930's the family moved to Glendale, California. Shortly after the start of WWII, the Maris family also moved to this same small Oregon town.

Eventually, the two Crockett sons met a married the two oldest Maris daughters. Of these two marriage were born five kids (the "Oregon Crockett Cousins").
