43. ALEXANDER5 CRUMP (STEPHEN4, JOHN BUSHROD3, ADAM2, JAMES1) was born Abt. 1812 in North Carolina (Source: Nancy Lewis 8/31/96.), and died 1886 in Texas (Source: Nancy Lewis 8/31/96.). He married NANCY GOLSTON 26 Sep 1837 in Randolph County, NC. She was born Abt. 1815.

Notes for ALEXANDER CRUMP:
Interesting to note that Daniel Easley is living with Alexander and Nancy in the 1850 Census. Alexander owned a hotel in North Carolina until 1869, when it burned. After that he and his family also moved to Texas, where he remained until he datth in 1886. His wife died June 1891.

Alexander and Wincey attended the church in the Rocky river Baptist Church inross the Rocky river from Stanly co., in Anson County, NC.

  Notes for AMON FRANKLIN LANIER:
Amon Lanier was injured in the battle of Atlanta, Georgia, on the 1st and 2nd of September 1864, and was discharged with injuries. About two years after the war was over in 1865, he and Emma moved to Texas. He and Emily (Emma) had no children and divorced about 1879. He later remaried and had six children. Only two girls lived to havec children of their own. However, Emily is buried with Amon F. Lanier, Amons's second wife, Matilda E., and Amon and Matilda's son, John R. Lanier and his wife, Lula Briscoe Lanier, in the Union Cemetery near Gustine, Comanche Co., Texas.

Both John R. Lanier and his wife, Lula Briscoe, both drowned in the South Leon river during the 1910 flood.
