The Crymble family in Ireland , traces it's roots back to 1585, when Roger Crymble a French Huguenot arrived in Carrickfergus , County Antrim. The family descended from Roger to about 1800, was recorded, with some gaps,by Samuel McSkinnin,at Belfast in 1823 in " HISTORY OF CARRICKFERGUS". This book is available at the Belfast Reference Library.I have traced my branch of the family back to my Great grandfather's family at Ballylinny Co. Antrim,And i am researching his parents , etc. to connect my branch back to Roger[1585]. Roger was an assistant to the lord deputy of Ireland, Sir Henry Sidney, research back to England and to France is therefore possible. As an Irish Immigrant, on searching the web , I have been amazed on the extent of the Crymble clan particularly in the USA.Many references to 1600-1700 show the long history in the states.
