This compilation of information is to preserve the memory of individuals that make up my family background.We should not forget who they were or who they are.Much of the facts that describe my Mother Gertrude (Strazza)Cuffaro is missing, since her family chose to disown her when she married my father who was Sicilian.How sad that was and in some ways today it still exists. As far as my Grandparents Giuseppe and Fillepe, that is another story in of itself.It appears that my grandfather might have had connections to the Mafia,members of the family tell me he was assassinated in his home town of Cianciana,Sicily.The remaining family members accompanied my grandmother to the United States,in 1905. I wanted the family tree to describe all members of six generations,to the present day with my grandchildren.I hope that someday the tree will grow and reflect future generations of my family name Cuffaro. |
