3. HAROLD ROBERT2 ROAN (ANDREW B.1) was born October 04, 1874 in Unionville, PA, and died July 10, 1948 in West Decatur, PA. He married MATILLDA DYKMAN EVERETT September 26, 1894, daughter of THEOPHELUS EVERETT. She was born March 26, 1875 in Canada, and died September 22, 1936 in Osceola Mills, PA.

AROLD ROBERT ROAN:

Harry Roan was taken to the Philipsburg State Hospital Monday, October 27 and is receiving treatment for a slight fracture of the skull received last Tuesday when he fell at the General Refractories Mine in West Decatur. His condition is somewhat improved.

      West Decatur-Harry Robert Roan, 73, of West Decatur, died suddenly at the home of his grandson, Robert Bush here Saturday July 10. He was an employee of the General Refractories Company in West Decatur and a member of the West Decatur Methodist Church.
      Born in Unionville, October 4, 1874, a son of Andrew and Matilda Everett Roan, he is survived by the following children; Mrs. Mary Bush, Mrs. Maude Vanscoten, and Harold Roan of Bloomfield, NJ, Charles Roan of Caldwell, NJ, James Roan of West Nanticoke, PA and Andrew Roan of Osceola Mills, PA. One brother Samuel Roan of Wallaceton, PA also survives him as do 16 grandchildren and 19 great grand children.
      Funeral services will be held from the Robert Bush Home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Elwood Zimmerman and Rev. Lloyd Mulhollen officiating. Interment will be in the Mock Cemetery in West Decatur.

Death Notice from The Clearfield Progress, Clearfield, PA Tuesday Evening September 29, 1936

      Death claimed a most highly esteemed resident in the passing of Mrs. Matilda Roan, Wife of Harry Roan of Osceola Mills, PA on Tuesday morning, September 22, 1936. Her death was caused by a heart disease which she had suffered for more than three years, her condition becoming more serious during the summer months.

      A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theophelus Everett, Mrs. Roan was born in Canada on March 26, 1875. She came to the United States when she was eleven years old.
      On September 26, 1894, she was united in marriage to Harry Roan of Philipsburg. She was a staunch member of the United Brethren Church.

      Surviving are her husband, and the following children; Mrs. Fred Bush (Mary Roan)and Charles Roan of Philipsburg, Harold, Andrew, James, Mrs. Albert Stone (Maude Roan) and Mrs. Dorsey Kline (Audrey Roan)of Nanticoke.

      Funeral Services were held friday afternoon, September 25, from the Roan home. Interment was made in Mock Cemetary.

This community was saddened to hear of the sudden death of Clark Roan at McGirk's Sanitarium, Philipsburg, on Wednesday evening September 17. Death was caused by leakage of the heart and dropsy. Although he had not been well for more than three years, yet his death came as a terrible shock to many friends and loved ones.
Clark Franklin Roan was born at Morgan Run, June 11, 1910, died September 17, 1930 aged 20 years, 3 months and 6 days. He is survived by his father and mother, Mr and Mrs. harry Roan, three sisters and four brothers as follows; Mary wife of Fred Bush of West Decatur, Andrew of Osceola Mills, Maude wife of Albert Stone of West Decatur, Harold of Osceola Mills, Audrey wife of Dorsey Kline of Faunce and Charles and James at Home.
Deceased was a fine young man and will be sadly missed in the home and community, having spent his entire life here. That he was held in high esteem by all who knew him was evidenced when it was estimated that more than five hundred people attended the funeral which was held at the Ohio Church, Sunday afternoon September 21 at 2 o'clock. Rev. J.P. Rauch of West Decatur officiating. Interment in Mock Cemetery.
