| My Cummings surname was my grgrgrandfather, Daniel Waite Cummings. I discovered through my research, he was adopted. I have not been able to go beyond that. He was born in Harrison County, Kentucky October 27, 1844, married Henrietta Clay Martin from Washington County, Indiana February 25, 1873, and died February 18,1929. Daniel and Henrietta lived in Champaign County, Illinois for most of their married life. He was a blacksmith. Oral history has him running away from home at the age of six. Other names I am researching include Busey, Dickson, Hepp, Hintz, Markham, Mazoch, Martin, Schuett, Scott, Sills, Wiedelman, Wierzba and Zywicki. Any information would be appreciated.
