| I am on a journey to locate the names of, and any tid-bits of information on, my ancestors. Already, I have found a family of caring and loving individuals. Some have very interesting stories. I have even found a "scoundrel" or two, to my dismay. But we must learn from their mis-deeds, hoping and praying to not make the same mistakes. We must also learn from the good in our ancestors so that we may pass on to our offspring that which is good in our lives. This page is dedicated to just such a "good" ancestor - my mother, Sonja Faye. She was a wonderful person, who left the maps for the beginning of my journeys - one being my spiritual journey, the second my geneology quest. I must do my best in both. Our surname list is growing with each passing day. I have begun with these: Blocker, Cantrell, Davis, Dendy, Elston, Gillespie, Hall, Hawkins, Hays, Lewis, McMillan, Roberson, Scarbrough (Scarborough), Sevier, Williams, Xavier. |
