The Garry & Carol Cundiff Family Home Page

We are researching the Cundiff Family with an emphasis on the family before 1850. Our line starts in America with Richard Cundiff ca. 1640-1724 in Northumberland County, Virginia. Our family moved to Hampshire County, West Virginia starting in about 1790. From there they immigrated to Champaign County, Ohio in 1830 and from there to DeWitt County, Illinois in 1836. About 1870 they moved to Cherokee County and Cowley County, Kansas and finally to Oklahoma in 1889.

In addition, we are researching Steensgaards from Denmark. Anna Katherine Steensgaard and her brother Niels Jensen Steensgaard came to America in 1882 and 1880 respectively. Anna settled in Denver and was married to Jorgen K. Nielsen while Niel ended up in St. Louis and was married to Minnie V. Tuttle.
