She was a member of Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church. She was the widow of Walter Cunningham, survivors: daughters, Mrs. C.A. Gaddis, Kentucky, Mrs. Lonnie Seal, Knoxville, Miss Flora Cunningham, Knoxville, Mrs. harold Perryman of Ohio, Mrs. Alma McGill of Knoxville. Sons, Alex Cunningham of Knoxville, Kenneth Cunningham of Ohio, Arlie aand Herman both of Knoxville. Sisters, Mrs. Nora Cates, Strawberry Plains; Mrs. Frances Gann, kpdak. Brother, George Underwood of Kodak. 36 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren. Services 1 pm Friday at Second Methodist Church with Rev. Robert H. Pardue and Rev. jimmie Rogers Officiating. Interment Little Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers: Charles Wilkes, Ed Stafford, Buddy Jones, Jack McCarter, Ernest Ferguson, Howard Couch. The body remains at McCarty's Mortuary.
Grave Site: Old Grace Cemetery (A Cemetery of the previous Grace Presbyterian Church AKA Little Creek Cemetery, the Old Grace presbyterian Church was on this site at the top of the driveway, now torn down and gone). There is a Grace Seven Day Adventist Church in front of this cemetery, but has no bearing or affiliation known to this cemetery, other than a rumor that the founder of the Old Grace Cemetery gave the property for the cemetery back in the 1800's for "poor people" to have a burial site. The exact address of Old Grace Cemetery is not known, but is located on Northshore Drive approx. 1 mile North of Ebenezer Rd Knox County Knoxville, TN 37922 in what is known as The Bluegrass Community.
Buried beside Linda Elizabeth Underwood Cunningham is her longtime mate Hose Walter Cunningham. Since not one of her 7 or so living children at the time of her death or even until their own death (Alexander (Alex) Cunningham, Kenneth Jackson Cunningham, Herman Ralph (Fuzz) Cunningham, Arlie Dartis (Mockie) Cunningham, Flora Isabella Cunningham, Emma Mildred Cunningham Seals, Lillie Mae Cunningham Gaddis, Minnie Rosalee Cunningham Sloan, or Ruth Hazel Cunningham McGill even took the time or the responsibility to even attempt to get a grave marker, their Grandson Jerry Lennis Cunningham, Sr. whose Father was Arlie Dartis Cunningham (Hose & Linda's 5th? son) took it upon himself to purchase on March 15, 2005 (Hose's Birthday) a flat Granite Double Foot marker from Maryville Monument Works on Broadway in Maryville, TN measuring 6'-0" x 1'4" x 4" at the gravesite which is on the Northern Boundary Line of the Old Grace Cemetery approx. in center area near a big cedar tree. Jerry sent a letter saying the same to all her known living grandchildren ( Approx informing them of this and asking if any wanted to help to send him $50 each to cover the cost of the marker and got the following response form Evelyn Gaddis Grey $100, Irene Gaddis Tackett, $100, Carol Gaddis $100, Harold Wayne Gaddis $50, Wilma Jean Cunningham Denton $50, Bobby Cunningham $50.
