Notes for William David Cunningham: The author Jerry Lennis Cunningham, Sr. a cousin of William David (Doby) Cunningham went to see about helping the family to make arrangements for burial, the author assumed that the family would want to purchase a grave for William David Cunningham at Old Grace Cemetery on Northshore Drive as that was where his father and his Grandfather and GrandMother were buried also. However when the author arrived at the family's relatives and home he discovered that nont one of the deceased family's brothers or sissters or others were interested or they all claimed to not have any money to even try to bury the deceased and called the county of Knox to have him buried in a pauper's grave at Mopuntainview Cemetery on Maloneyville Road in Knoxville, Knox County TN and had already had his body taken to Berry's funeral Home on Chapman Highway and had been prepared for burial, but as is the case of paupers funerals they did not even embalm the body, and only allowed the family to use the funeral home for 2 hours on that evening and the burial was to be immediately on the following morning, with no memorial service.
Needless to say the author was very distraught and decided to not have anymore communication with this side of the family if they did not even care enough about their brother to make arrangements for his burial in a decent christian burial.
The author has intentions of trying to exhume the body at a later date if possible and to move it to Old Grace Cemetery if possible.
