Notes for Jack Marshall Valentine: VALENTINE, JACK MARSHALL- AGE 70went home to be with his Lord Friday December 10, 1999 at Fort Sanders Regional hospital Clinch Ave Knoxville, TN 37916 after a stroke. Born in johnson City, TN, but a resident of Knoxville, Knox County TN for 65 years. A member of West Lonsdale baptist Church. Retired from Rom and Haas company after 42 years. Served on the Board of Directors at Rohm and Haas Credit Union. He was involved in disaster relief work. Volunteered himself to help anyone in need. Jack was a man of God. He was a friend and witness for the Lord to everyone he met. he enjoyed the Big Orange, golf, fishing, working in his yard and and loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his mother and father Ina Thornhill Valentine and William (Bill) Valentine and brother Kenneth Valentine. Surviving is his wife Charlotte E. Parrott Valentine; son Steven E. Valentine of Saratoga Springs, New York, Daughter and son in law Gail and Gary Merriman of Corryton TN 37721. Daughter and son in law Sandra and Jimmy Gheen of Knoxville, TN Eight Grandchildren Michelle Schaffer and Husband Doug Schaffer. Kay and Jamey Gheen, Marcus, Wesley and Stephanie Valentine (children of Steven E. Valentine), Cindy Long and Angie Boheler, three great grand children, Lexie and Alex Schaffer, and Bryce Long. Brothers, Ed Valentine and Bill Valentine, Brothers and sister in laws and families, Paul, George, James and Jack Parrott and all of his friends and family in Christ. funeral Service Sunday December 12, 1999 at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev Loweell ramsey, Rev. Billy Daniels, Rev. Bruce Robinson, and Dr. Michael otis officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday December 13, 1999 at Edgewood Cemetery for a 1PM interment service.
