Notes for Thelma Cunningham: 4/29/05 Info from email from Betsy J. Patterson email:bjpatts@capecod.net to Jerry Lennis Cunningham, Sr. email: jerrysr@cunninghamwindows.net SUBJECT: RE: CARL YORK CONTACT Hi Jerry: Nice to hear from you again. Carl York really straightened me out on the Cunningham Line I was searching. He is very thorough and doesn't say anything he hasn't proved out. Concerning the 1850 census you were puzzled about: John Cunningham age 47 and Susan Cunningham age 21- John was married before and had McCinsey (really is McKenzie) it says male in my census, not female) age 10 (in the 1850 census), Robert age 4 (Susann's child by someone else). Dardis 7 mo.- the 7 over 12 means 7 months. Two more children were born after the 1850 census- Wiley in 1851 and Thomas Franklin in 1854 (the one I am looking for). So your Dardis and my Thomas were brothers. John Cunningham's wife Sarah was the daughter of William Irwin/Erwin and mary (Polly Ann) Hines. Mary (Polly Ann) was the daughter of Robert Hines and Lavinia rose. Lavinia was the daughter of Hosea Rose (one of the first ones to settle in TEnn.). Lavinia had a brother named McKenzie. Carl has some ideas who the father of John Cunningham is, but hasn't proved out anything as yet. Some people haven't proved out lines and then submit wrong information that everyone copies and the mistakes go from one generation to another. Carl's email: averygooddoc@cs.com I'm sure he will be glad to answer any questions you might have. I've finished my research on this until the father of John Cunningham can be proved. As far as I'm concerned, I have all the information I need back to John Cunningham. Carl even sent me just what I said in Thelma Cunningham's father's obituary, hope he can help you . Betsey
