Walkthrough of cemetery done July 16, 1999 by Cynthia Curran, Sylvia Conrad, & Debi Lewin. Photos on file. This cemetery is rather well hidden. To get there, take hwy 49 south from Charlotte, NC into York County, SC. At the intersection where hwy 49 turns left, hwy 557 continues south and hwy 274 turns right, turn onto hwy 274 (will be going west. Go a short distance to Harper Davis Road, which will be a gravel road to the left. Follow Harper Davis Road a little way to a thicket of tress on the right. There will be a crumbling stone wall in the tree area and inside the wall is the cemetery. Suggs graves are about halfway back on the right. Beware of snakes! According to Virginia Harris, this land was once part of a plantation owned by George Suggs. The present owner of the land the cemetery is on is Jimmy Davis. 131.
