My research of the Pierce/Pearce Family line has been done in the Libraries and the /CityTown Halls in Redding, Danbury, Roxbury, Southbury and Woodbury Ct. Also the Probate Court in Woodbury Ct. I also went to the Library in Seymour Ct and read the book by Mr Sharpe where Titus Pearce gave him the information of the Pearce line in So. Britain and in it was listed my gg grandfather and Sarah Whitlock dtr of Daniel Whitlock as well as my g grandfather Truman H Pierce. I also obtained a copy of my g grandfather's death certificate and on it is listed that his father was Russell D. Pierce of Southbury and his mother was Sarah Ann Whitlock who was born in Redding, Ct. The information was given by Caroline M. Pearce Fairchild Truman H Pierce's sister. My search also gave me information from the internet such as Ancestry.Com, Rootsweb, Genealogy, and Family Search.Org. as well as other helpful members whose families have connected with mine. Such as the Joseph Crofoot line who first told me of the marriage of Pollyann Crofoot and Daniel Couch Whitlock. Which produced my gg grandmother Sarah Ann Whitlock b April 1, 1811. Any further information which you'd be interested in sharing concerning my searches I would love hearing from you. Thank you all for your amazing and much appreciated information. I am very grateful to you all. Sincerely, Barbara A. (Pierce) Cypher |
