Well, I guess I've misled you without meaning to, so I'm sorry if what I have disappoints you.

Mostly I have Barney Pool & his 2nd wife's information & descendants. However, there is this one little tid bit that might go along with some information you might have laying around.

Barney Pool & his 2nd wife, Polly Martin had twins, Harriet & Harrison b. abt 1845 in Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., NY. Harrison Pool's grandson recounts this tale that colmunates saying: "
Civil War Stories.
"He was with Sherman," Claude said. "His brother, Will Henry, was shot at Gettysburg and died there." he is buried at Gettysburg, Claude said. The Pool brothers enlisted in the Army at Syracuse, and the family resided in northern New York State. Harrison Pool was in the army three years.
Harrison Pool's brother, Lafe (short for Lafayette) came to Minnesota and settled in the West Concord area [Dodge Co. MN]. After Harrison was mustered out of the army, he joined his brother (because his parents had died while he was in the service), and that's where he met his future wife, Harriet.

I'm wondering if Lafayette isn't the child of Sally Dickinson & Barney Pool. He doesn't turn up on any of the census for Barney and Polly Martin Pool so far.

Also I've been told that one of Barney Pool's sisters, Hannah Pool, married a Willard Bemis/Beemus/whatever. Do you know anything about that?

Sorry, I didn't have all of the children of Barney & Sally Dickinson. I just have Asa. He is on the 1850 NY census right after his father and 2nd family.

Sherri
