He married Helen Louisa Minot⁹⁵²⁵ 27 Sep 1870 in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts⁹⁵²⁵, daughter of Albert Minot and Sarah Fuller. She was born 02 Feb 1848 in Boston, Massachusetts⁹⁵²⁵, and died Abt. 1918 ⁹⁵²⁶.

CHARLES HENRY CHANDLER, of Brookline, Mass., a resident member since 1919, was born in Boston 28 December 1842, the son of Ebenezer Martin and Emeline Phedora (Bemis) Chandler, and died at Newton, Mass., 20 March 1925.

He was descended from William(1) Chandler, who was in Roxbury, Mass., in 1637, through Capt. Thomas(2) of Andover, Mass., William(3) of Andover, Mass., William(4), 1689-1756, of Westford, Mass., Benjamin(5) of Petersham, Mass., Henry(6), 1767-1849, of Chester, Vt., and Ebenezer Martin(7), his father, who was born at Chester 5 May 1810, married 28 February 1842 Emeline Phedora Bemis (born at Lincoln, Mass., 6 October 1814, daughter of Jonas and Tabitha (Gove) Bemis), and died at Cambridge, Mass., 9 March 1876. Ebenezer Martin Chandler was for a time a provision dealer in Boston, whence he moved to Cambridge.

Charles Henry Chandler was educated in the public schools (including the high school) of Cambridge, and became an accountant. For many years he was treasurer of the firm of Smith, Hogg & Company, commission merchants, but retired from active business about eight years before his death. He lived most of his life in Cambridge, and was a member of the First Baptist Church there, superintendent of its Sunday School, its treasurer for twenty years, and a deacon for twelve years.

He was a member of the Boston Camera Club, of which he was treasurer, the Appalachian Mountain Club, and the Boston City Club, and was much interested in ornithology.

Mr. Chandler married 27 September 1870 Helen Louise Minot, who died about seven years before her husband, daughter of Albert Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth (Fuller) Minot. Of their six children the three eldest, Charles Minot, Grace Minot, and Alice Minot, died before their father, while the three youngest, Sarah Elizabeth of New York City, Albert Minot of Newton, Mass., A.B. (Harvard, 1900), L.L.B. (ib., 1903), and Frederick Allen of Winchester, Mass., survived him.

...Rev. Lorin C. Collins was brought up in the Methodist faith. He became a preacher at an early age, and was a member of the New England Conference. In 1853 he went to Minnesota and joined the Methodist Conference there. After years of doubt he states that he "drifted away from the faith in the doctrine of endless misery." He writes in 1892 as follows: "Though in my 80th year, I still enjoy fair health and take a good deal of interest in what is going on in the world." Res. at Norwood Park, Ill.
