William Henry Harrison, subsequently was appointed May 29, 1849 Consul to Havre, France, by Presdt. Tyler. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Boston. He was a member also of the New England Guards, a light Infantry Co. organized in Boston Sept. 22, 1812; on June 13, 1814, they were ordered to guard the U. S. Navy Yard at Charleston, Mass.
