Grandfather John Dowden's obit was published in St. Marys Ohio newspaper Feb. 1958. John F. Dowden for many years a baggage master and ticket agent for the Western Ohio Railway company, died Sunday in Lima memorial hospital, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Dowden had been a resident of the Auglaize co. infirmary since September 1957. He moved here in 1932 when the central Ohio interurban lines were discontinued. He was a native of Shelby co. Oh. and burial will be in Graceland cemetery at Sidney, Oh. Survivors are a daughter Mrs. Ruby Smith of Jackson Center, Oh., and three sons; Roy of Sidney, Loren of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Leo Dowden of Warren Ohio. |
