He married JULIE ANN KENNEDY January 12, 1871 in Taarentum, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania ¹, daughter of WILLIAM KENNEDY and REBECCA FRY. She was born June 29, 1852 in unknown ², and died July 22, 1907 in West Tarentum, Allegheny County, Tarentum, Pennsylvania ^3,⁴.

shows that James Christy was a coal miner - lived in East Deer Twp.,
Allegheny County and also that he could not read or write. James was a coal miner.
1900 census PA Vol 19 E.D. 370 Sheet 6 Line 2. James Christy remarried after his wife Julie Ann (Annie) died in 1907. His second wife was much younger and they lived on Ross Street Hill in Tarentum, PA. Vera verified this.

Obituary Valley Daily News, Tarentu, PA dated July 23, 1907 stated Mrs James Christy, aged 55, died at 7:30i'clock this morning at her home on W.7th Avenue, of pneumonia. She is survived by her husband, two sons and two daughters as follows: William of Lane Station, John of Tarentum, Emma of Sharpsburg and Anna, at home; also a sister Mrs. SS Mason and six grandchildren. Notice of funeral later. but no notice later was ever found in the Valley Daily News.

	iv.	EMMA CHRISTY, b. May 13, 1883; d. Unknown; m. MORGAN, Unknown, Sharpsburg, or Springdale, PA; d. Unknown.

Notes for EMMA CHRISTY:
1900 census show Emma to be 17 years old PA Vol 19 E.E.370 Sheet 6 Line 2
Bible of William Reed Kennedy show Emma was born on May 13, 1883. Per Aunt Peg Emma married Morgan ? lived in Sharpsburg and had a daughter. 1907 obituary for her mother, stated that Emma (no last name given) lived in Sharpsburg.

don't know if Morgan is the first or last name. They had a daughter
