We are researching members of the Bruce family resident in Australia. We have obtained information re the Bruce side of the family from Scotland and Australia and information re my mothers maternal side re Fletcher from England. We need information re our maternal grandfather.The name is Frederick Lascelles Verton.We have the revelant marriage and death certificates from Australia but can go back no further. We beleive that he was of French descent and either he or his patents may have emigrated to USA and from there he came to Australia. The name Verton could be a transition from a French name.
