After a recent trip to Wales, my father, Stanley Bevan and I have been researching our family history. We visited Treherbert, Wales, where my grandfather's family came from. We know Lewis and Jane Bevan left Wales in the late 1880's and came to America, eventually settling in the Miners Mills-Wilkes-Barre, PA area. There were several children including Edmund Bevan, Stanley Bevan (my grandfather), Elizabeth Bevan-Morgan, Sarah (Sal) Bevan-Gray, Mary Ann Bevan-White, Joe, Garfield, and McKinley Bevan. Edmund Bevan was a reknown musician in the area and moved to New York, (unknown if it is the City or State.) He had a son, Milton. |
