1. JOSEPH¹ NEWCOM was born Abt. 1767 in Ireland or Scotland (Source: Newcomb Family History - Carl & Lois Shelton 1989.), and died Abt. 1825 in Livingston County, Kentucky. He married EASTER DUDLEY in North Carolina. She was born 1769 in (Guilford County) Rockingame County, North Carolina, and died Aft. 1825.

Notes for JOSEPH NEWCOM:
Joseph was born in Ireland in 1767. He came to America in 1785 and was living in Rockingham County, NC in 1789. He later moved to Smith County, Tennessee where he and his wife, Easter, reared a family. The children migrated to Kentucky and the parents followed in 1807.
They settled on the Tradewater River in the Belle Mines section of Livingston County, Kentucky. That area is now Crittenden County, Kentucky. Joseph made a will in Livingston County, Kentucky on September 17, 1825. The will was proven on October 3, l825 in open court. Easter was executrix of the estate.

In the name of God Amen,

I Joseph Newcom of the County of Livingston and State of Kentucky being mindful of my death do this 17 day of September in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty Five - Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in first I advise to be decently Buried and with as little expense as may be And I give and bequeath unto my Wife Easter Newcom all my land and Stock of every description and all debts due me together with Everything that I am Possessed of any nature or Kind whatsoever after the payment of all my just debts and Is hereby appoint My dear beloved wife Easter Newcom Sole executrix of this my last Will & Testament.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand Seal the day and year first above written

In Testimony whereof an that I have recorded the same and this Certificate I hereunto set my hand this 3d day of Oct. 1825.
