Marlene is a graduate of Follansbee High School, Follansbee, W. Va. Marlene is a graduate of Fairmont State College, Fairmont, W. Va. Marlene also is involved in charity work in the Tuscarawas County area. Marlene was employed by the Tuscarawas County Board of Mental Retardation as an Service & Support Manager where she worked for almost 25 years.

Heckman of 21 Heckman St., Follansbee, have announced the engagement of their youngest daughter, Marlene, to Thomas E. Daniels of RD 1, New Philadelphia, Ohio. Miss Heckman is a 1966 graduate of Follansbee High School. She is a junior at Fairmont State College, majoring in speech, drama and French. Mr. Daniels, a 1965 graduate of Midvale High School, attended Fairmont State College and will be serving in the Army.
Weirton (WV) Daily Times, June 6, 1969 HECKMAN-DANIELS WEDDING SET FOLLANSBEE – Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heckman of Heckman St., Hooverson Heights, have announced the approaching marriage of their youngest daughter, Alice Marlene, to Thomas Daniels Jr. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Daniels Sr. of New Philadelphia, Ohio. They will be married Saturday, June 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. The Rev. Mr. C. Franklin Karos, DD, of Gainesville, Fla., former pastor of the church, will officiate for the double-ring service. He will be assisted by the Rev. Mr. John Surgenor. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Weirton (WV) Daily Times, June 24, 1969 MARLENE HECKMAN TAKES NUPTIAL VOWS FOLLANSBEE – Wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Marlene Heckman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heckman of 21 Heckman St., Follansbee, and Thomas Edward Daniels, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Daniels Sr. of RD 1, New Philadelphia, Ohio, Saturday, June 7 in the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. The Rev. Mr. John Surgenor officiated for the double-ring ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line floor length gown of bridal satin and chantilly lace designed with a rounded neck and bishop sleeves. A detachable watteau train fell from the shoulder culminating in a square chapel train. She wore a pouff elbow length veil of illusion accented with a satin bow, lace and seeded pearls. The gown and headpiece were designed by the bride. She carried a Bible covered with satin and lace and topped with a red and white corsage. Mrs. Fred Wright, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Jodi Anderson of Clarksburg, Miss Shirley Daily, Miss Susan Daniels of New Philadelphia, and Miss Nancy Price of New Cumberland.David Fox of New Philadelphia was the best man. Ushers were Eugene Belba of Midvale, Ohio; Gary Marcuso of Clarksburg; Steve Pittito of Clarksburg, and Jim Tidrick of Dover Ohio, brother-in-law of the groom. Lynn Wright, niece of the bride, was flower girl, and ring-bearers were Kevin Wright and Ricky Wright, nephews of the bride. A reception was held in the church social room followed by another reception in the home of the bride’s parents for the immediate family, bridal party and close friends. The couple is residing at 313 Gaston Ave., Fairmont. Mrs. Daniels was graduated from Follansbee High School and is a senior at Fairmont State College majoring in speech drama and French. Mr. Daniels is a graduate of Midvale High School and is a senior at Fairmont State College majoring in language arts. ========================
