Notes for Tarleton Fleming Keith: Apparently, this Tarleton Fleming Keith moved to Georgia, possible as early as 1801. The Augusta Chronicle and Gazette carried a notice that he had letters remaining in the post office at the time. A 19 Oct 1814 deed to T.F. Keith of Columbia County, Georgia was witnessed by a Martin Keith of Newton Co., Georgia. However by July of that year brother John Marshall Keith was handling estate matters for both brothers, T.F Keith and Peter Grant Keith and was guardian of Tarleton Fleming Keith, Jr. The father of his wife, William Stone, was the second husband of Mary Payne widow of Sanders Morriss. Her daughters, named in his will include Hannah Blackwell, Frances Payne and Mary Keith. The first two wives of William Stone, According to Larry Keith, were both Morriss girls.
