Aya......I am researching the ROUBIDOUX and GEBOE surnames, Miami Indians, who were forced to migrate to Kansas Territory in 1846. While most of the Myaamiakia came from Indiana some were previously located in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. My particular interest is in the Kansas era from 1846 until their removal, in 1873, to Indian Territory which later became Oklahoma. While in Kansas Jean Baptist Roubidoux was a chief in the early years. My great grandfather, Micheal Geboe was born on the Kansas Reserve in 1848 and my grandmother, LOUISA GEBOE, was born there in 1871.
LOUISA GEBOE married SAMUEL ALFRED LEONARD of Lenawee County, Michigan.

I am also researching the SAMDAHL/SAMDAL-BAKKE families who came to Wisconsin from Norway around 1876.

Any information will be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
