These are my families - The CASH family tree covers the ancestors of my maternal grandmother, Viola Cash and dates back to William CASH of Fife, Strathmiglo, Scotland, circa 1600. My research was aided tremendously by the research of Don L. Cash (now deceased), Thelma Faye Cain Prince, Alice Jordan, Rex Cash, Bo Cash and many other Cash cousins. The DAVIS family tree covers the ancestors of my paternal grandfather, John Goss Davis, and dates back to Jonathan Davis of Orange Co., Virginia, circa 1730. Jonathan married Lucy Gibbs. Jonathan and his entire family removed to Wilkes Co., Georgia around 1780. If it had not been for the exceptional book on Jonathan Davis written by Mildred Davis Davidson, many of us may never have found our Davis roots! The LEDBETTER family tree covers the ancestors of my paternal grandmother, Virginia Ledbetter and dates back to the Thomas and Henry Ledbetter families of Virginia, circa 1700. Much of my initial research came from the book "Ledbetters From Virginia", by Roy C. Ledbetter, William R. Ledbetter, Justus R. Moll and James D. Tillman, Jr. The publication of "Ledbetters Revisited" by Kenneth E. Haughton and Relf L. Huddleston, has proven to be an exceptional source of additional information on this line. The WALTON family tree covers the ancestors of my maternal grandfather, Alton Oliver Walton and the Walton family that came to Virginia, initially, and moved on to Chowan Co. and Onslow Co., North Carolina in the 1700's, and advancing westward into Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas. Special thanks to James T. Walton for providing a starting point in the search for the WALTON lineage, and also, to Eloise Walton for helping with the complex sorting out of the early lineages. If you think your lines cross any of the families please let me know! JAD
