COUNTY PIONEER MARY M. BEVER TAKEN BY DEATH AGED RESIDENT OF EXLINE SUCCUMDED AT ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL TODAY DUE TO ADVANCED AGE
Mary Maring Bever, aged and long time resident of Appanooose County died at St Joseph Hospital at 7:50 a.m. today April 28 after having been entered there three weeks ago Tuesday. General debilities attendent to advanced age were given as the cause of her demise.
Mrs. Bever was born April 2, 1858, in this county, the daughter of A. J. and Ella Hutchison. She was married to Moses M. Maring November 2, 1876 and to this union the following children were born; Zetta Richardson of Exline, Mary V, Pugh of Exline, May Cassady of Unionville, Josephine Pugh of Des Moines, Olive Hudson of Kirksville, Essie Beard of Ames, M. B. Maring of Goodland, Kansas, Alma Conger of Centerville, Moses F. Maring of Bird City, Kansas, Charles E. Maring of Grinell, Kathryn Waggoner of Centerville, and Clyde R, Maring of Omaha. In addition to Mrs. Waggoner and Mrs. Conger of this city, Mrs. Bever leaves Mrs. Hugh Johnson, a granddaughter, of this city. There are 37 grandchildren and 18 great-granchildren.
Olive Hudson passed away in 1935 and one daughter died in infancy. The husband Moses M. Maring died January 9, 1923. In 1930 Mrs, Maring united with George S. Bever, Sr., of Centerville, who survives her.
