1. WILLIAM1 DAVIS, SR was born Nov 01, 1709 in Of Anne Arundel, MD, and died Jan 13, 1791 in Anne Arundel , Md. He married ELISABETH DAVIS1 1743, daughter of GRIFFITH DAVIS and ELINOR FORREST. She was born Aug 11, 1712 in Prince George County , Maryland, and died May 06, 1787 in Anne Arundel , Md.

ILLIAM DAVIS, SR:
In The Name of God Amen, I William Davis of Ann Arundell County and State of Maryland, being sick and weak in Body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, do makeand ordain this my last Will and Testament, first and for enternally, I committ my soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Executers here in after named and as such goods as it hath pleased God to Bless me with in this world, I disopse of them in the manner and form following.

Them I give and bequeath unto my beloved Daughter Mary Jacobs her Heirs or assigns all the land possest of with in the lines of Cheynes rest.

Them I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Robert Davis his Heirs or assigns all the rest of my land I now hold.

Them I give and bequeath unto my Niece, Mary Davis now living with me the sum of fifteen pounds current money.

Them It is my Will and desire that all my personal Estate shall be sold by my Executors and after my just debts, Funeral expences and Legasyes are paid the remainder to be divided amongst my Sons Daniel and William Davises Children as my executor John Jacobs shall think proper for to school and clothed them.

Lastly I do hereby appoint John Jacobs and my son Robert Davis Executors of this my last Will and Testament working and disannuling all former Will Legasyes or bequeaths by me here to fore made acknowledging this and none other to be my last Will and Testament in witness where of I have hereunto set my handand Seal this 10th Day of January, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety One.

On the back of the foregoing Will was this written, Anne Arundel county For the 15th Day of February, 1791 Then came John Jacobs and Robert Davis the Executors appointed in the whithen last Will and Testement of william Davis late of Anne Arundel county deceased and made oath on the Holy Evangles of Almighty God that this Instrument of writing is the true and whole Will and Testement of the said deceased that hath come to theirHands or possession and that they do not know of any other sworn before.\

Then came Richard Phelps, Robert Pain Davis and William French, The three subscribing witnesses to the written last Will and Testemant of William davis late of Anne Arundel County deceased and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they did see the Testator therein named sign and seal this will and that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will and Testement that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound distressing mind memory and understanding and that they respectively subscribed their mnames as witnesses to this will in the presence and at the request of the testator and in the presence of each other
