Looking for information on the children of Jacques Henry Davet b.1816 in Switzerland and his wife Catherine Jacquet, also believe to be born in Switzerland. The couple immigrated to the U.S.through the port of New York on August 21, 1852. He and his wife Catherine had a son in Mt. Savage Md. in 1857. They were in Newport, Ky for the 1860 Census. and settled in N. Madison, Oh in 1865. A family story relates that several children died of scarlet fever, probably in or around New York City between 1852 and 1857. Any information on the deaths or burials of these children would be GREATLY appreciated. |
