Welcome to our home page! We are Jim and Nancy (Sackmann) Davidson.

This page is under revision due to changes in data, so please keep checking.

The major surnames we are currently researching are DAVIDSON (extending from Patrick Davidson in pre-Revolutionary Pennsylvania), SKELTON, PECHAR, WELCEK, SACKMANN, WAHL, AND BECK.

Our DAVIDSON, SKELTON, SACKMANN, and BECK information is the most complete, though we have huge holes to fill.

The DAVIDSON family extends from Pennsylvania. We have found relatives from across the nation, but we have not yet encountered anyone who can make "the leap across the pond" for our Davidsons. We have received sketchy information that our Davidsons may have come from Northern Ireland, but family oral history seems to indicate Scotland as an origin somewhere in the past.

The SKELTON family and various marriages extend back to Scotland. Most of the Skelton clan settled in Utah at one point and we have relied heavily on information in the LDS libraries for the data we have other than our direct connection, which has not been published there.

The SACKMANN and BECK sides of the family stem from what is now Ukraine as well as Germany and Russia. The SACKMANN family information is from the rather large family in Eastern Washington. The SACKMANN information was recently updated and the BECK line was also recently revised and updated.

As for the WAHL, PECHAR, and WELCEK families, our information has been slim. Our WAHL information was recently significantly expanded is currently undergoing major revision at this writing. It will be re-posted at a later date. PECHAR and WELCEK came from Moravia and Bohemia, but PECHAR arrived as a 10 year old stow-away and would not speak of his past.

We ask that you review our descendent trees (below) and let us know if you are related. We have not included all information since some are still living, but we would be happy to share all information with others researching our lines.
