E, 10th Texas Infantry, at Ft Hebert, Virginia Point, Galveston, Texas on January 12, 1862 (he had been recruited at Wise County Texas on January 1, 1862.Pvt Brown was captured at Arkansas Post, Arkansas, on January 11, 1863;arriving at Camp Douglas Prison near Chicago, Illinois on January 29.Pvt Brown signed the Oath to the Union on March 11,1863
Pvt Brown was captured without his papers at Victoria, Texas, on August 6, 1863.He was sent to Myrtle Street Priston, St Louis, Missouri, on August 8, 1963.He arrived at Camp Morton, Indiana, on August 22nd.
