JACOB S. SONGER

	JACOB  S.  SONGER  was the  son of  JACOB  SONGER  of VA. 
GRAND  SON  of GEORGE  SONGER  of VA.  Boath  of  ROCKINGHAM CO.  VA.
They are  on  the  FIRST  U.  S.  CENSUS  of the UNITED  STATES ,  1794
in  ROCKINGHAM , CO.  VA.
	JACOB   SHERMAN  SONGER     ABT.  1814   to  ABT  1900
JACOB Born  in  VA.  moved  first  to  TN  1845  .With  wife MATILDA   FINK  
and  sons JOHN M.  and JAMES  W.  SONGER.   In   TN.  BENJAMIN  R.  B.  and
CHARLES  L.  was  born  .JACOB  S.  and family  moved to RANDOLPH  Co. AR.
in  1850  .  In  AR.  these  children  were born  .

	JACOB  S.  SONGER  was  a  BLACKSMITH  in  VA.  He was  also a  
BLACKSMITH   in  OLD  JACKSON ,  RANDOLPH  Co.  AR.

Following the Civil War, The first ferry was owned and operated by Jacob Sherman Songer
and his son, John. The ferry passage ceased when a bridge was built over Spring River
in 1898. It was due to efforts of Mr. W. C. Sloan that the structure was built.

of  all  SONGER'S  in  ARKANSAS .  Boath  buried  at  OLD  JACKSON  CEMETERY,
RANDOLPH  CO.  AR.
