Welcome to my Homepage! I am developing my family history, and still have a lot of work to do. Nevertheless, I am happy to share information I collect about my ancestors as I develop it. I am a descendant of Jonathan Davis of Orange County, Virginia and Wilkes County Georgia. My Davis surname ancestors include: Jonathan Davis, Rev. William Davis, Jeptha V. Davis, Zachary Taylor Davis, Robert Lee Davis, and Tollison Kirby Davis. Surnames of Davis line grandmothers include: Gibbs, Eastin, Daniel, Brown, and Ball. My mother's maiden name was Mary Lois Pardue. Pardue surname ancestors include: John Pardoe, John Pardieu, Lilleston Pardue, Fields Pardue, John Pardue, and John Fields Pardue. Surnames of Pardue line grandmothers include: Adams, West, and Hammond. My paternal grandmother’s maiden name was Mary Cornelia Ball. My Ball ancestors include: Edward Ball, Thomas Ball, Ezekiel Ball, Stephen Ball, Frederick Ball, Tuscan Ball, and Doric Ball. My maternal grandmother’s maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Hammond. Hammond ancestors include: John Hammond, Charles Hammond, William Garret Hammond, and Stephen Garret Hammond. The Hammond line can be traced to Charlemagne and includes signers of the Magna Charter. Other ancestral surnames include: Asbury, Bird, Black, Brooks, Collier, Garrett, Holmes, Malone, Quarles, Tembte, Toxey, Tyler, and others. I am aware that William Davis, Stephen Ball, and Lilleston Pardue were veterans of The American Revolution. Tuscan Ball was a veteran of Indian wars in Georgia, and Andrew Berry Brown was a veteran of the American Civil War. My father, Tollison Kirby Davis is a World War II veteran. |
