Laura Ann "Ann" Wayman. He married 3. Georgia Willa Pownell March 13, 1905 in Osceola, IA, at her parent's home7.

      3. Georgia Willa Pownell, born June 05, 1888 in Romney, Hampshire Co., West Virginia; died March 31, 1963 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA - burial Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. She was the daughter of 6. James Weldon Pownell and 7. Amanda Belle Pownall.

Notes for Fred Davis:
Fred grew up in Richland, Iowa, and moved with his family to Woodburn in 1903. He was a Methodist, but in the 1930's became active as Jehovah's Witnesses. They farmed in Woodburn until 1953, when they sold the farm and moved to Des Moines. They spent their remaining years there.

  ii.   Mildred Lucile Davis8, born March 23, 1908 in Clarke Co., IA; died July 10, 1988 in Grants Pass, Josephine Co., OR; married Elbert "Bert" Carson January 30, 1929; born May 20, 1893 in near Woodburn, IA; died October 17, 1945 in Iowa City, IA - burial Ottawa Cemetery, Woodburn, IA.
  Notes for Mildred Lucile Davis:
Mildred and Bert lived west of Ottawa, until his death. At that time, she moved to Des Moines, and ran an apartment building for many years. When she sold her apartment building, she began work as a cook in a restaurant. Mildred never had any children, but loved her nieces and nephews dearly. In 1975, she moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, to live with her niece, Audrey Wallace. Mildred remained there until her death. She was active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

  Notes for Elbert "Bert" Carson:
Bert was the youngest child of Ephraim and Sarah Carson. He grew to manhood on the farm where he was born. His entire life was spent on the farm. He farmed with his father until Ephraim's death, and later operated a farm for himself. Bert lived near the Ottawa Church, where he attended church and Sunday School as a boy. He married Mildred Davis on January 30, 1929. No children were born to this union.
Bert passed away at the Iowa City hospital, Oct. 17, 1945, at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 27 days. Services were held from the Webster Funeral Home on Sat., October 20, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wilbur Filson from Iowa City, IA.

  iv.   Alice Edna "Sally" Davis, born August 28, 1911 in Clarke Co., IA; died October 1989 in Grants Pass, Josephine Co., OR; married Kenneth Curtis; born August 22, 1908; died September 1984 in Grants Pass, Josephine Co., OR.
  v.   Anabelle Davis, born November 05, 1913 in Clarke Co., IA; died July 18, 1976 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA - burial Alden Cemetery, Alden, IA; married Joseph Shineflew October 06, 1936 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA; born January 23, 1913; died September 1987 in Alden, Hardin Co., IA - burial Alden Cemetery, Alden, IA.
  vi.   Alene Willa Davis, born January 07, 1915 in Clarke Co., IA; married (1) William M. Moran June 15, 1934 in Osceola, Clarke Co., IA; born April 21, 1909 in Lucas Co., IA; died July 1985 in Osceola, Clarke Co., IA; married (2) Glenn Dean Blank September 08, 1943; died January 29, 1953 in Chicago, IL.
  Notes for Alene Willa Davis:
Alene attended school through the 6th grade at Ottawa School near Woodburn, IA. She attended school at Woodburn for grades 7-12, graduating in 1933. She married William Moran on June 15, 1934, by the Justice of the Peace in Osceola. Their witnesses were Celesta Marquis and Lincoln Davis. Their daughter, Billie Lee was born March 13, 1935. Alene and William divorced a few years later. Alene and Billie lived off and on with Alene's parents, until she married Glenn Blank on September 8, 1943. Glenn passed away on January 29, 1953, and Alene never remarried. Glenn and Alene's home was in Chicago, where she worked for Swift's Packing Company until the spring of 1954. She became one of Jehovah's Witnesses on June 21, 1952. In the spring of 1954, Alene moved to Des Moines, IA, where she lived with and took care of her parents until they died. After moving to Des Moines, she volunteered as a pioneer (a full time minister of Jehovah's Witnesses).

In December, 1973, Alene moved to Carencro, Louisiana, to live with her daughter, son-in-law and grandson. She has been in a nursing home since 1992. Since 1994, she has been living in Lake Charle, Louisiana, near her grandson.
