Mark Haworth Elliott, Sr. (son of William Quincy Elliott and Rebecca Jane Jackson) was born October 29, 1858 in Vermilion Grove, Carroll Township, Vermilion County, Illinois, and died June 28, 1926 in Sterling, Rice County, Kansas. He married Mary Frances Guyer on July 04, 1880 in Reno Co., Kansas at the home of bride's mother by William Perry Haworth, a Quaker minister at Sterling Friends Meeting.
