"Grand Father Pearson brought their nurse with them from Ireland when they moved to America. She went with Aunt Eliza and nursed or helped to raise the family of five of the Lairds.
This nurse (nanny) was Ann Bovaird. She was brought to America by Gibbons Pearson and family around 1842.
Ann Bovaird was still residing with the Laird family when the 1880 census was taken. At that time she was 77 years old.
