These are some of my mother's great-grandparents. My first knowledge of the Browns is in southern Indiana. (The Sanders can be traced to the Roanoake area of Virginia.) They moved to Oklahoma in the latter part of the 1800's. Phoebe is thought to be part Cherokee. (Photo courtesy of Debbie Davenport)
