Descendants of George Washington Davidson

Generation No. 1

1. GEORGE WASHINGTON1 DAVIDSON1,2 was born 1832 in Calloway County, Kentucky3, and died 1876 in New Orleans, Louisiana3. He married MARTHA JANE FULTON3,4 October 19, 18644, daughter of WILLIAM FULTON and SARAH SHEFFIELD.

Notes for GEORGE WASHINGTON DAVIDSON:
George Washington Davidson and his brother William were nephews of John Davidson, the Scottish poet. This information comes from Lucille Bryars Owings of Columbus Ohio. She got this information from descendents of Lou Ellen and Jim Morrison.

George ran away with his wife's youngest sister (Perrilee Fulton) per two letters I received. One was from Lucille Bryars Owings, a local writer in Columbus, KY, who was also interested in the families and histories around Columbus. She had also done some research for the Morrison family. The other was from Velma Clinton Puhle, who is Lou Ellen Davidson's grand daughter.

George and Perrilee apparently moved to New Orleans. Lou Ellen was reared by Barbara Phelps. Leonard was reared by Aunt "Sack" Sarah Fulton. John Davidson was reared by Ira Fulton. Their home was close to Murray, KY.
