We are looking for relatives of George Angelo Hall, former slave and educator who settled in Mobile, Alabama in the late 1800s early 1900s. He and his wife, Matilda Bilbo, lived in New Orleans before moving to Mobile. Matilda was born on the Bilbo plantation in Mississippi. George and Matilda had eight children, seven of which lived to adulthood. The four sons, including twin sons George and Henry, married and raised families in the Mobile area. George Angelo Hall, Jr. married Marina Elizabeth Harney and raised five children in the house he built on Davis Avenue. He was a postman. Other names being researched are Harney, Petitte, Whitfield and Cauldwell. The Harneys and Petittes from the Mobile area, the Whitfields and Cauldwells from the Macon< Georgia area.I am willing to share my research.
