The Dawley Home PageUpdated October 8, 2002 |
Hi! I am looking for some family history to help make my tree. My fathers side of the family is made up of the surnames: DAWLEY, MCDOWELL, DECKER, MANSBERGER, PATUANO. My mothers side of the family is made up of the surnames: DONLEY, LADUE, TOWNS, MAYWORM. I really do not know much information past my grandparents. Hopefully, this will fix that problem. The Mayworms lived in the upper Pennisula of MI in the late 1800's. Keweenaw CO. That is where my great grandmother (Elizabeth Mayworm) met (Alfred Towns) my great grandfather. He was from Canada. He was born on a ship coming from England to Canada. His mother died giving birth to him. Elizabeth Mayworm came from a very large family. Theresa, August, Nancy, are just a few of her siblings. The Dawleys are from PA. My grandfather was born and raised in Rew, PA. The Northwest corner of the state. He had three sisters, and eventually moved out to MI, where he continued to raise and build his family. His parents were Dorothy Decker and Harry Milford Dawley. Harry was born in milport PA.I think. Take a look at the family info and if you think you may know something, please contact me!! Thanks a million! Karen |
